Jamie Craggs

Jamie Craggs is the Aquarium Curator at the Horniman Museum. This how I managed to plan an interview with him. He created Project Coral, which is a method of coral reproduction. The need for this is because overfishing, pollution and climate change have caused ocean acidification and this is rapidly ruining coral reefs. The reason I chose Jamie as the subject of my film is because his Project was the first successful attempt at coral reproduction. This was helpful for the purpose of my film as it was a way to see change and evoke change.

I had prepared a list of questions for Jamie to answer that would be used as a voice over throughout the film.

Examples of the questions include:

  • Tell me about yourself and how you got into coral biology

  • What is Project Coral?

  • How successful has it been?

  • What is climate change?

  • What is the relation of Project Coral to climate change?

  • How as an aquarium curator have you used project coral to help climate change and raise awareness?

  • How detrimental is climate change?

  • Do you think it is seen as an urgent crisis?

  • How can museum visitors help?
